Ice Dam Removal Minnesota is the trade name of an ice dam removal business serving homes and buildings across Minnesota. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean that business. "You" means anyone who visits this website or calls the phone number shown on it.

We collect only what a phone call and a website visit produce. The site has no forms, no account sign-up, no online booking and no payment page, so you never type personal details into it.

When you call us, we learn the details you choose to share so we can deal with the ice on your roof. That usually means your name, your phone number, the address of the building, and a description of the problem, such as where the ice sits or whether water is coming through a ceiling. Our phone line may run through a call-tracking service. If it does, that service logs the number you called from, the date and time of the call, how long it lasted and the general area the call came from.

When you visit the website, Google Analytics 4 collects information about the visit. This includes the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the website or search that sent you here, and your approximate location at the city or region level. It also records taps on the phone number. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including your IP address and the time of each request.

We use the details from a call to understand the ice problem, talk you through it, arrange a visit to the property if you want one, and follow up about that job. We use website information to see which pages people read, find pages that are hard to use, and learn which pages lead people to call. We use server logs to keep the site running and to block abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it to marketers.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. This site uses cookies and similar tools only for analytics.

• Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that tell one visit from another and count returning visitors.
• Google Search Console reports how the site appears in Google search results, such as which searches showed our pages. It works from Google's search data and does not place cookies in your browser.
• Bing Webmaster Tools gives the same kind of search report for Bing. It also does not place cookies in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any website. The site still works with cookies blocked.

A few outside services handle data for us so the site and phone line work:

• Our hosting provider serves the website and keeps the server logs described above. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and preview versions may be hosted on Vercel.
• Google provides Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
• Microsoft provides Bing Webmaster Tools.
• A call-tracking provider, once our permanent phone line is in place, routes calls to us and keeps the call log described above.

We share call details with no one else, except where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.

We keep the details from a call for as long as we need them to handle your ice dam job and any follow-up questions about it, and for any longer period the law requires for business records. Website analytics data is kept under the retention setting in our Google Analytics account, and Google deletes it after that period. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its own limited period.

You can call us at any time to ask what details we hold from your calls, to correct them, or to ask us to delete them. We will do so unless we need to keep a record for a job that is still open or because the law requires it. You can also control website tracking yourself, through your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on, without asking us.

This website is for adults who own, rent or manage buildings in Minnesota. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We will update this policy if we add a new tool, change how calls are handled, or the law changes. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
